The long awaited WordPress 3.0 is now in Beta-1 and ready for testing. Of course I’ve been testing the alpha versions here for quite a while. I am just now getting around to diving in to some of the great new features.
- There is a brand new theme — Twenty Ten — that you are seeing here on this site.
- You can create custom menus. That’s one there, just under the header. What makes it unique? Well, if you look closely that menu has a url entry pointing to the main blog, a link to a page, and a link to a category with a sub category!
- One thing that I think will excite a lot of people is the ability to create custom post types. You can read more about that here.
I guess I’ll get back to testing now.
