So, I wrote to the WordPress Forums about not being able to see the image editor when I had multiple photos. Turns out that will be the case in 3.5. It’s going to take a plugin, or waiting to 3.6 or later to see it integrated. But, there is a work around that’s not too bad.

Just to demonstrate – You upload a gallery without editing and sometimes the thumbnails are not what you would want:

See how the centering isn’t quite right? Now, I’ll upload the same three pictures again (I have to re-upload them so I don’t change the originals.

Then I go to the Media Library, and edit the thumbnails there. It’s a little more work, but it does work.

One of the features that will be coming along with WordPress 3.2 is something they call “Distraction Free Writing”. Now, my first thought was, how can WordPress make the kids be quiet, the phone stop ringing, and the dogs not want to be walked? I found out that’s not what they meant.

Distraction Free Writing is the ability to write your posts in a full screen mode where all the buttons and boxes are invisible. Here is a screen shot taken as I write this post:

If you need to get the buttons back you just move the cursor somewhere else on the screen. Like so:
